O estúdio Bang! Bang! Animation foi alvo de uma reportagem para o programa Portugal em Directo da RTP 1.
A série "Nutri Ventures" que a Bang! Bang! Animation está a produzir para a produtora Watermelon é a maior produção jamais feita em Portugal e o estúdio emprega actualmente uma equipa de 46 pessoas, sendo esta a maior equipa de animação portuguesa até á data.
A produção está a correr muito bem, estamos a acabar a primeira season de 13 filmes, e a segunda season irá já ter início em Fevereiro de 2012.
A RTP vai emitir a estreia mundial "Nutri Ventures" e seguidamente a série vai ser emitida em vários países, pois já estão a ser feitos contractos com muitos canais que querem comprar este produto totalmente made in Portugal.

Premiado em 2005, nos Festivais de curtas do Porto e de Évora, com o filme “Eu Descobri Portugal”. Formador da ETIC ( 2001/07 ) e dos “Filmes do Recreio” ( 2002/07 ). Professor deAnimação na ESCS ( 2004/07 ) e do curso de Design de Animação e Multimediada Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Portalegre.

Finalmente podemos mostrar um cheirinho da maior produção de sempre do estúdio Bang! Bang! Animation.
Aqui vos deixamos um primeiro trailer produzido pela Watermelon Productions, que mostra partes do primeiro filme de uma série de grande dimensão, que pela primeira vez se produz em Portugal.
A criação deste projecto é da Watermelon Productions, sendo a mesma responsável pelos guiões e toda a parte de som e voz. A Bang! Bang! Animation por sua vez, é responsável pela Realização, Character e Background Concept Arts, Produção e Animação.
Estamos a falar de um formato de 4 "seasons" de 13 episódios de aproximadamente 26 minutos cada, para o mercado nacional e internacional, e é de notar que é um produto totalmente Made in Portugal.
Já com o primeiro filme produzido o estúdio prepara-se para começar o segundo, agora com uma equipa de 21 elementos.

A Bang! Bang! Animation desenvolveu recentemente o grafismo de mais um projecto da Universal Music.
Criada por João Alves (infelizmente já fora da equipa da Bang! Bang!), Babiruxa é uma personagem um pouco fora do estilo do estúdio e que tem como inspiração o grafismo anime, e para já estará disponível ao público um CD com as músicas desta personagem.
Em breve começará a produção de um videoclip deste projecto que irá ser transmitido no Canal Panda, como já é habitual.
Aqui ficam neste post algumas imagens utilizadas para o desenvolvimento da personagem e para o Art Work do CD.O estúdio está neste momento cheinho de projectos, para além dos dois projectos para o concurso da Aniboom que referimos no post anterior, o estúdio está a desenvolver mais dois projectos que ainda estão no "segredo dos deuses" como se costuma dizer. E como isto dos bonecos animados leva muito tempo, só daremos novidades destes dois projectos dentro de um ou dois anos.

Built by John Alves (unfortunately already out of the team), Babiruxa is a character a little out of style studio and has as the Inspiration anime graphics, and is already available to the public a CD with the songs of this character.
We will soon start production of a video clip for this project which will be broadcast on Channel Panda, as usual.
Here are some images used in this post for the development of character and the Work of Art CD.
The studio is also full of projects, in addition to projects for the Aniboom contest we mentioned in previous post, the studio is developing two projects that are still in the "secret of the gods" as they say.
And how does the animated dolls takes a long time, just give these two new projects within one or two years.

O estúdio Bang! Bang! Animation está a concorrer no concurso, Aniboom Awards 4 Sesame Street, com dois filmes piloto de 1.30'' cada, para duas séries TV.
"Shaypi and Shapu" e "Ogg!" são os nomes das séries propostas que foram produzidas na totalidade pela Bang! Bang! Animation. São ambos conceitos para séries infantis pré-escolares ao estilo da Rua Sésamo. Aqui ficam imagens dos filmes e os respectivos links para visonamento, esperemos que gostem.

Shaypi and Shapu, é uma série de animação para a idade pré-escolar. Baseada nas brincadeiras de um menino, Shapu, e de uma menina, Shaypi com os seus amigos.
Nestas brincadeiras eles interagem de uma forma divertida mas educatica com um conjunto de peças, formas geométricas básicas de cores variadas que têm o nome de "Shapes".

The studio Bang! Bang! Animation is competing in the contest, Aniboom Awards 4 Sesame Street with two pilot films of 1.30''each, for two TV series.
"Shaypi and Shapu" and "Ogg!" are the names of proposed series that were produced entirely by Bang! Bang! Animation. They are both concepts for preschool children's series in the style of Sesame Street. Here are images of the films and their links to mink, hopefully you like it.

Shaypi and Shapu is an animated series for preschoolers. Based on the play of a boy, Shapu, and a girl, Shaypi with your friends.
In those games they interact in a fun but educational with a set of parts, basic geometric shapes of various colors that have the name "Shapes".

Meet Ogg, a pale monster who tries his best to be a friendly monster.
Ogg wears a tie and always tries to be nice, but really is a prankster and makes nonsense whenever he can.
Inside, Ogg is a nice boy and his heart is always in the correct place, even if it takes positive encouragement and friendly words to make it behave well.

Pelo quinto ano consecutivo, a Bang! Bang! Animation vai estar presente no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Animação Digital ou Animatu, que decorre em Beja, de 14 a 18 de Outubro.
Desta vez, o estúdio vai marcar presença com um Stand no Teatro Pax Julia, onde vão estar presentes membros da actual equipa, incluindo o Director/Fundador do estúdio, Miguel Braga, eu própio.
O objectivo será o contacto directo e pessoal com o público, conversar e prestar qualquer tipo de esclarecimentos sobre o estúdio, mostrar a forma como trabalhamos e apresentar o nosso trabalho presente no mercado português e internacional.
Haverá conversas abertas e pelo menos uma sessão de apresentação do estúdio de 30 minutos diária durante o decorrer do festival.

Em breve estará a ser emitido em vários países o VIdeoclip "Viernes Trece" da Romero-Vox.
Aqui ficam, para abrir o apetite, duas imagens do último Videoclip produzido pela Bang! Bang! Animation, a primeira, um still do trailer usado na festa de lançamento e a segunda, um still do videoclip.
A realização é de Rui Pregal da Cunha e a música de Óscar Romero. Este video é composto maioritariamente por animação, mas tem uma boa percentagem de imagem real.

Neste video participou uma equipa de 4 animadores, para os quais fica aqui um agradecimento, Belo Cabral, Diogo Alves (actuais membros da equipa) e especialmente João Real e Nuno Martins que trabalharam pela primeira vez com a Bang! Bang!, que com os seus conhecimentos técnicos e participação superaram todos os desafios deste video.

Os Clássicos Mais Divertidos são uma adaptação de música clássica, servindo de pretexto para as peripécias de 4 instrumentos musicais (um tambor, um violino, uma flauta e um saxofone).
O CD será posto á venda brevemente e os videoclips, destinados ao público infantil, estão já a ser transmitidos no Canal Panda. Os desenhos são do Armando Coelho, a animação está dividida entre o Armando e o Diogo Alves e a Edição e Pós Produção é feita pelo Miguel Braga, o conceito foi desenvolvido pelo Armando e o Miguel, sendo que a Universal criou a ideia base e a Música também pertençe á Universal Music.
Brevemente iremos por o primeiro filme no portfolio do site da Bang! Bang! Animation.

Como puderam ver no nosso último post, o Serafim está a fazer sucesso com as crianças portuguesas, neste post deixamos mais um video, desta vez com exertos do espétáculo ao vivo que estão a ser promovidos e produzidos pelo estúdio RAGA, Produções Musicais. Também vos deixamos fotografias do Serafim na vida real.
Como referimos anteriormente o Serafim for desenhado e animado pelo estúdio Bang! Bang! Animation, uma produção para a Universal Music Portugal. Os 4 videos estão a ser transmitidos no Canal Panda e também existe á venda no mercado um DVD com os filmes e extras.

O estúdio de animação Bang! Bang! Animation está de momento a produzir duas séries de desenhos animados para TV, Ilha das Cores e Zig Zag, entre outras produções mais pequenas e serviços de animação.
O estúdio de animação Bang! Bang! Animation está também a investir num novo projecto, uma série de tv, 13X3’ em formato HD. É um projecto a nivel internacional que pretende furar as barreiras da animação portuguesa. Será transmitida em várias TVs europeias em 2010/2011, e colocada no mercado em 2011.
É tudo o que podemos revelar sobre este projecto, isto é apenas aquilo para que estamos a apontar, vai depender de algumas variáveis, mas é o que esperamos que aconteça, o resto.... está no segredo dos deuses.

Like you saw in our last post, Serafim is making a lot of sucess with the portuguese children, in this post we leave you a video showing some of the live shows that RAGA, Produções Musicais Studio is promoting and producing, as well as some Serafim live character photos.
As we also said that Serafim and Company were designed and animated by Bang! Bang! Animation Studio, a production for Universal Music Portugal. The 4 animated videoclips are being broadcasted in Channel Panda and it was released a DVD with the films and some extra goodies.

Bang! Bang! Animation Studio is also developing a new project, a tv serie for adults, 13X3’ in HD format, the project is being produced just by Bang! Bang! Animation Studio, and is prepared not only for portuguese animation and market but for an international level. It will be broadcasted in international TVs, starting with Europe, in 2010/2011 and released to the market in 2011. That’s all we can say for now about this project, that’s what we would like to happen, all depends in some variables but we have hope in our effort, the rest it’s still is the secret of the gods.

Foi um trabalho de 5 pranchas de Banda Desenhada para a Agência Bactéria, sobre os "Limones Mariachi" da Pepsi.

Para terminar resta deixar algumas novidades...

O Anjinho da Guarda está a ser transmitido novamente na Sic Radical, a Ilha das Cores assim como o Zig Zag também continuam em emissão na RTP, acabámos de fazer mais um filme publicitário e estamos a terminar outro para os US, e acima de tudo, a Bang! Bang! está com ideias novas, alguns elementos da equipa estão a desenvolver novos projectos, é esperar pra ver.

Outra novidade é que um filme da série "Sotão Mágico", foi seleccionado para o Fastival de Animação Cinanima 2008 em Espinho, sendo também seleccionado um outro filme desta série juntamente com um filme produzido para a Cybergraphix para o Festival de Animação Digital Animatu em Beja.

Fica desde já aqui uma mensagem, se alguém tiver boas ideias para argumentos, são sempre bem vindas e quem sabe poderão dar origem a projectos reais.

Another news is that some of our filmes were selected for competition in two Portuguese Animation Festivals, Cinanima and Animatu.

Pois é, não se pára de animar aqui no estúdio, já está na altura de lançar um novo press release /newsleter e dar algumas noticias sobre o que aqui se vai fazendo, fica aqui no blog mais um link para um novo press release.
Infelizmente não é possível informar de tudo o que fazemos com mais regularidade, até porque muitas produções são bastante rápidas e o tempo para por posts no blog ou lançar newsletters é quase zero. Neste post ficam mais algumas imagens aleatórias dos filmes que temos feito e um profundo agradecimento a todas as pessoas que já criaram, desenharam, animaram, realizaram e editaram com a equipa Bang! Bang! A equipa actual consiste em 7 maravilhosas pessoas (neste caso já conto) que dão vida a todos os bonecos que aparecem no estúdio, muitas vezes sacrificando até a sua própia vida. Todos temos paixão pela animação e pelos bonecos, muita dedicação, paciência e imaginação.

A Bang! Bang! Animation tem projectos novos a começar, mas.... esses não são notícia... esses são top secret... talvez daqui a um ano... talvez... quem sabe, menos... talvez.... e só talvez(outra vez)... saia mais uma newsletter ou um postito que traga mais novidades... até lá, tenham todos uma vida muito animada.

We don’t stop animating here in the studio, it’s time to send a new press release/newsletter and inform about what we are doing, and you can also see it through the new link in the blog.
Unfortunately it’s not possible to inform with the regularity we wish, some productions are very fast and the time for posting or launching newsletters is almost zero.

Bang! Bang! Animation has new projects starting, but..... it’s no news… it’s top secret… maybe in a year … maybe….who knows? Maybe less… maybe… and just maybe (again)… it comes out one more newsletter or small post that will bring you some more news…. until then… we whish you a very animated life.

:in Portuguese: Apesar de o blog continuar com “0 comments”, já está na altura de por outro post, o ano já lá vai e este é o segundo post do ano. Queremos que quem acompanhe o trabalho da equipa Bang! Bang! possa disfrutar de alguma informação extra para além daquela que está no site, que é pouca e meramente institucional. Este ano começou com muito trabalho e muito variado, estamos neste momento a produzir; uma série para um cliente americano, de 10 filmes de cerca de 5 minutos cada para o mercado infantil, via internet, continuamos com o Zig Zag que continua a ser emitido na RTP 2, a nossa primeira curta metragem de 10 minutos sobre o ciclo da água também está em pleno desenvolvimento e prestes a entrar na fase de animação, estamos também a trabalhar numa mini série de shorts para serem inseridos numa série de imagem real para broadcast tv em Inglaterra, através de uma produtora portuguesa. Em relação a música, estamos a produzir um dvd de 10 videoclips infantis e mais dois videoclips para as Doce Mania e está para breve o arranque de duas publicidades de 30 segundos cada. O feedback do nosso trabalho tem sido muito bom e temos conseguido cumprir os nossos compromissos dentro de prazos tão apertados como os que nós lidamos... nesta área a vida pessoal é muito reduzida... Em relação á equipa Bang! Bang!, o final de 2007 foi um pouco complicado, a saída de pessoas de uma equipa forte e pequena é sempre um motivo de alguma tristeza, mas que acaba por trazer felicidade quando ao entrarem novos elementos vem um novo sopro de energia positiva e empenho. A maioria das pessoas que saiu continua a visitar o estúdio pontualmente, a trabalhar em animação e a seguir os seus projectos de vida e as que entraram formaram a equipa fantástica que é a Bang! Bang! Animation.

Em nome do estúdio obrigado a todos os que ajudaram a produzir todo o nosso portfolio e tb obrigado a todos os nossos clientes que confiam no nosso profissionalismo e nos fazem “ trabalhar para o boneco “. 2007 was a good year, but it was a year of some changings, we change our name to Bang! Bang!, and a new corporate image and site were created to represent us. Also 3 people left the team and 4 people entered, so now we are seven working in the studio.
By the end of 2007 we receive a work proposal from an american company from Ohio, witch make us very happy because it's the first international work we do and it's running very well.
We will continue persuing our goals in 2008 and we hope to produce lots of animation and make children and adults happy with our work, this is a lot of fun for us we hope that for you to.

2007 foi um ano bom, mas foi também um ano de mudanças, mudámos o nome do estúdio para Bang! Bang! e foi criado um novo site para o nosso estúdio. Deu-se também a saida de 3 pessoas da equipa e a entrada de 4, por isso agora somos 7 pessoas a trabalhar aqui no estúdio.
No final de 2007 recebemos uma proposta de trabalho dos USA, de uma empresa no estado do Ohio, que nos deixou muito contentes pois é o primeiro trabalho internacional que fazemos e está a correr muito bem.
Continuaremos assim a preseguir os nossos objectivos em 2008 e esperamos produzir muita animação e agradar crianças e adultos com o nosso trabalho, para nós o trabalho que fazemos é também uma diversão, esperamos que para voçê também o seja.

LUNA - Under the Beja Moon

After beiing selected for the videoclips festival VIMUS http://www.cm-pvarzim.pt/go/festivalvimus/ in Póvoa de Varzim, the videoclip "Luna" produced by Bang! Bang! in 2006, for Universal Music and the metal band Moonspell, and broadcasted by MTV worldwide among other tv channels, is going to participate in the digital animation festival ANIMATU in Beja http://www.festivalanimatu.com/, Portugal, with an exposition of all production material, like character development, storyboards and some stills from the video.

The exposition "Luna - Under the Beja Moon" is going to take place during the ANIMATU festival in Beja from 17 to 21 of October, in the Bar Galeria do desassossego.

New Serie for Zig Zag

Bang! Bang! is producing for the portuguese agency Mola, a new serie for the portuguese tv show for kids ZIG ZAG, beiing broadcasted in RTP 2 (Portuguese Public TV Channel).

The format is 20 X 30'' episodes and the Direction and Animation is from Ana Nunes And Belo Cabral.

The concept design is also developed by Ana Nunes with the help of Belo Cabral.

We already finished 8 episodes, and we are working in 12 new episodes.

The scripts came from RTP andMola Agency also take care of the audio and sound effects.

A Bang! Bang! está a produzir para a agência Mola, uma nova série para o programa infantil Zig Zag da RTP 2, estando já a ser transmitida.

O formato é de 20 episódios X 30'' e a Realização e Animação são da Ana Nunes e de Belo Cabral.

O grafismo foi desenvolvido por Ana Nunes com a ajuda actualmente de Belo Cabral.

A Bang! Bang! já acabou 8 episódios e está a trabalhar para se produzir mais 12.

Os guiões vêm da RTP e a agência Mola também se encarrega da pós produção audio.

Magic Attick (Sotão Mágico)

This is a frame from the series "Magic Attick", one of the Bang! Bang in production series, for the show "Color Island" (a programme of the portuguese tv station - RTP2).
We already finished 17 episodes, and we are working in 5 new episodes, and there are more to do afterwards.The production rhytim is very high we have about 6/7 minutes to do per month (4 or 5 episodes), the episodes are already being broadcasted on tv.the scripts are done by the RTP team, adapted by the Mola Agency that also take care of the audio and sound effects, the concept design, animation direction and edition are done by Bang!Bang!Studio.

Aqui está um frame da série "Sotão Mágico", uma das séries que a Bang! Bang está a produzir actualmente e que está a ser transmitida no programa "Ilha das Cores" na RTP 2.A Bang! Bang! já tem 17 episódios feitos e em emissão, 5 em produção, e mais ainda se seguirão.

O ritmo de produção desta série é muito elevado e ronda os 6/7 minutos por mês equivalentes a 4 a 5 episódios mensais, sendo estes emitidos durante a produção. Os guiões são provenientes da RTP com uma adptação da Agência Mola que também faz o audio, o grafismo, realização, animação e edição são da Bang! Bang!.

BANG! Animation Studio, não é mais do que um grupo de amigos que tem o “bichinho” da animação e que só pretende desenhar, criar e animar bonecos.
Alguns dos nossos bonecos são já se estão a tornar muito conhecidos e achámos que estava na altura de também dar a conhecer quem os faz, pois afinal os nossos bonecos são famosos e a nós ninguém nos conhece, isso deixa-nos cheios de ciúmes e por isso resolvemos contra atacar com um press release, um site e um blog que vão arrasar com os nossos bonecos que andam aí todos armados em importantes.
